Dr. Qiancheng Zhao has been engaged in research work on special optical fiber preparation and devices, optical fiber sensing, functional optical fibers, optical holographic technology, etc. for many years, and has achieved a series of technological innovations and theoretical research results. In the past 6 years, a total of more than 30 academic papers have been published, including 15 SCI-indexed papers published by the first author and 1 corresponding author, including authoritative journals ACS NANO and Optics Letters in the fields of optical fiber technology, classical optics, nanotechnology, and applied physics. (6 articles), Optics Express, Optics Materials Express Applied Physics Letters, Nanomaterials, etc. He has also participated in top international optical conferences for many times (including multiple oral reports at top optical fiber technology conferences such as OFC and CLEO). As a co-author, he has written two English books <measurement of active fibers>, published in internationally recognized publishing houses Springer and IOP Publishing group, and has been downloaded more than 20,000 times since its publication. Approved 1 US patent as the first applicant. As a main member, he participated in 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 provincial and ministerial projects, and 3 international projects. He also serves as the chairman of the technical project committee of the 26th Hong Kong Optoelectronics and Communications Conference (OECC), and as a reviewer for the authoritative journals of classic optical physics such as Journal of Lightwave Technology, Optics Letters, and Optics Express.

主要从事多年来一直致力于特种光纤制备与器件、光纤传感、功能光纤、光全息技术等方面的研究工作，并取得了一系列技术创新与理论研究成果。近6年内，发表学术论文共计30余篇，其中以第一作者发表的SCI收录15篇, 通信作者1篇，包括光纤技术、经典光学、纳米技术、应用物理等领域权威期刊ACS NANO、Optics Letters （6篇）、Optics Express、Optics Materials Express Applied Physics Letters、Nanomaterials等，多次参加国际光学顶级会议(包括多次在OFC和CLEO等光纤技术顶级会议作口头报告)。以共同作者身份编写的英文著作2部《measurement of active fibers》，发表于国际认可出版社Springer与IOP Publishing group，发表以来至今下载次数已逾2万次。以第一申请人申请获批美国专利1项。作为主要成员参与国家自然基金项目3项，省部级项目2项，国际项目3项。并担任第26届香港光电与通信大会(OECC)技术项目委员会分会主席，以及经典光学物理权威期刊Journal of Lightwave Technology, Optics Letters, Optics Express等杂志审稿人。
